Last Day at Grove Farm: Reflecting on Time and Creativity

As I wrap up my final day at Grove Farm, I find myself reflecting on how quickly time passes. In the blink of an eye, this incredible journey is coming to a close, and I’ve learned so much about my creative process along the way. Today was spent in a mix of research and preparation—researching the best place to order the crazy quilt print, organizing the finished blocks, and figuring out how to store them efficiently in my studio.

Packing up my materials, I was struck by how much has been accomplished during my time here. Each block represents a chapter in this project, a story carefully pieced together from historical threads, community contributions, and my own artistic discoveries. It’s strange how time can feel so fleeting, yet hold so much growth. The Grove Farm residency has given me space to reflect, create, and refine my approach to art, and for that, I’m immensely grateful.

As I pack up and prepare to leave, I’m taking with me more than just finished blocks—I’m carrying forward new insights into my process, my craft, and my connection to the stories that shape my work. Time may pass in the blink of an eye, but the impact of this experience will stay  with me long after I’ve left Grove Farm.
