You Choose the Buttons!
As I put the finishing touches on the agricultural overalls for the Echoes of History project, I asked my social media followers to help me choose the perfect buttons—and you showed up! I shared three options: wooden squares, traditional round wooden buttons, and large silver buttons. While the wooden styles had their fans, the silver buttons won by a landslide. Their bold, industrial feel ended up being the perfect match for the layered images of farm equipment and rural labor woven throughout the piece. Thank you to everyone who voted—it was such a fun way to include you in the process and bring one more detail of this story to life!
