Paper "Wearables" - Agricultural Overalls
The paper overalls are complete—the largest of the five garments and full of Appalachian character, fitting for a region rooted in the Appalachian mountains.
Built from archival images of farms, fairs, and equipment sourced from the Farm Museum and Huntingdon County collections, this piece honors the rhythms of rural life. Though not truly wearable, the overalls were carefully hand-stitched to protect the delicate paper, with silver buttons (chosen by your votes!) adding a sturdy finishing touch.
A familiar form, reimagined through layers of memory and place.
