Clergy Stole in Process
Work is underway on the clergy stole, titled Sewn for the Sacred. This paper garment explores how houses of faith serve as gathering places that build community across geographical lines.
The form is simple, but the meaning is layered—made from archival images of churches and congregations throughout the region. As I stitch, I’ve found that pre-perforating the paper allows for straighter, more even lines—a small but important practice that helps preserve both form and message.
